Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three people drowned in the Burjar canal in Chilanzar district of Tashkent. Rescuers are looking for one of them, Renessans TV reports.

The incident occurred on 10 April. Witnesses said that while playing on the embankment, a five-year-old boy fell into the water due to carelessness.

The woman who witnessed this incident immediately rushed to help, but the strong flow carried her away too. Another person tried to help them, but he was also carried away by the flow of water, the report said.

Zukhriddin Kurbonov, head of the press service of the Tashkent Emergency Situations Department, said that rescuers had found the bodies of a boy and a woman, but were still looking for the man. It is noted that the woman and child were not relatives.
