Ambassador of Uzbekistan visits Samara region and got acquainted with the medical care provided to Uzbek citizens, injured in road accidents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov, together with the Minister of Health of Samara region Armen Benyan, visited medical institutions in the region and inspected the provision of medical care to citizens of the country injured in road accidents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

As the Minister of Health of Samara Region noted, all victims are provided with the necessary medical care in 4 regional hospitals.

A traffic accident occurred on the night of 8 April 2024 on the Ural-Mukhanovo highway involving a bus traveling along the Chimkent-Nizhny Novgorod route.

The medical service worked promptly; 10 ambulance teams and a team from the regional disaster medicine center worked at the scene of the accident.

It should be noted that 18 patients are in a condition of moderate severity, 2 are in satisfactory condition and another 2 are assessed as stable and severe.

Diplomats of Uzbekistan also discussed issues of organizing medical care with the administration of medical institutions, the head of the department of national and religious policy of the Department of Internal Policy of the Samara Region, Maria Kuptsova.

Ambassador Botir Asadov expressed gratitude to the Government of the region and law enforcement agencies for their assistance, as well as Samara medical workers for their highly qualified assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan injured in road accidents.
