Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shavkat Umurzakov was appointed to the post of khokim of Tashkent.
The Kengash of People’s Deputies of the city of Tashkent approved the appointment of Shavkat Umurzakov as khokim of the capital.
Since March 2023, Shavkat Umurzakov has served as acting mayor of Tashkent.
