Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 February, at the Hairaton station, an opening ceremony was held dedicated to the reconstruction and repair of the Hairaton - Mazar-i Sharif railway line.

The event was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and representatives of the Afghan Railways Department

In accordance with the agreement of both parties, work on the reconstruction of this railway line was planned to be carried out in stages. In turn, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari sent 120 workers to the site to carry out the first stage of work.

At the first stage, it is planned to quickly deliver freight cars to the Naibabad station. To this end, comprehensive restoration work will be organized in parallel in Park “B” of Hairatan station and on 57 km of railway infrastructure.
