Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan produced 15,657 passenger cars in January 2024, which is 2.92 times more compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Statistics Agency.

In the automotive industry, in January 2024, 3,369 Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles were produced, 2,105 Chevrolet Gentra vehicles, 3,865 Chevrolet Damas vehicles (an increase of 17.6%), 1,355 Chevrolet Tracker vehicles and 836 Chevrolet Onix vehicles.

According to the agency, 1,418 Chery cars were also produced in the country (an increase of 73.3%), 2,644 – KIA (an increase of 2.1 rubles), 3 – EXEED and 62 – Haval.

Also, 951 specialized passenger cars were produced in Uzbekistan (a decrease of 44.0%).
