Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Belarus is ready to create enterprises in Uzbekistan for the commercialization of scientific developments. This was stated by the rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) Vadim Bogush during the round table “Uzbekistan and Belarus - a time-tested partnership,” BELTA reports.

“We are ready to share our experience in commercializing scientific developments that exist in Belarus - in scientific organizations, in universities (we have experience in creating university technology parks and product development). Up to the creation of joint subsidiaries in Uzbekistan, which could commercialize the developments of both Belarusian and Uzbek scientists to promote them to the markets of third countries,” said Vadim Bogush.

At the II Forum of Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan, held in February 2024 in Tashkent, the parties also discussed cooperation between higher education institutions. If just a few years ago a couple of dozen citizens of Uzbekistan studied in Belarus, today about 5 thousand students are educated at joint faculties. We are talking about expanding the areas of training and maximizing the potential of Belarusian universities.

But education is only one of the humanitarian areas of bilateral cooperation. The countries are ready to develop interaction in general in the field of youth policy. “We can confidently look to the future, realizing that our youth have the necessary opportunities to communicate and build warm relationships,” noted the rector of BSUIR.
