Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 12 to 16 February, a delegation of Uzbekistan, including representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, as well as other departments, held a number of meetings in Finland.

The visit was organized within the framework of a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) project.

During the meetings, issues of developing trade, supporting the private sector and increasing the competitiveness of products exported from Uzbekistan were discussed.

The prospects for cooperation for the implementation of new projects with the participation of well-known Finnish brands were also considered.

An agreement was reached to develop an experience exchange program between Finnish and Uzbek entrepreneurs.

The delegation studied Finland’s experience in developing sustainable agriculture and expanding export opportunities in the agricultural sector of the economy.

As a result of the visit, an agreement was reached on joint work on a program of measures to introduce the best Finnish practices into core areas of the economy of Uzbekistan.
