Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Faizullayev met with the vice-president of the Confederation of Italian Industrial Enterprises "Confindustria" Barbara Beltrame.

According to Dunyo news agency, the parties discussed issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and planned joint events.

Italian industry is highly regarded for its potential, and in recent years Uzbekistan has been increasing production and export capabilities in various industries.

Beltrame expressed her readiness to organize regular events to bring the business circles of Italy and Uzbekistan closer together.

The development of cooperation with organizations such as Confindustria Moda and the Italian dairy industry association Assolatte was also discussed.

The Confindustria, which unites more than 150 thousand enterprises, protects the interests of its members and works closely with Italian departments.
