Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov met with a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by IFC Director for Turkey and Central Asia Wibke Schlemer.

At the meeting, achievements in the economic and social spheres and projects implemented within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and IFC in 2023 were discussed. Projects planned for implementation in 2024 were also reviewed, the priority of which are projects in the field of healthcare and water supply in the regions.

Particular attention was paid to PPP projects in the field of education. Programs aimed at equipping schools with modern equipment and creating favorable conditions for children’s learning are being considered.

The importance of cooperation between Uzbekistan and IFC in the implementation of various projects serving the development of Uzbekistan was emphasized.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in order to achieve common goals and sustainable economic growth.
