Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Faizullayev held negotiations with the management of the Italian company ENEL, a large operator of electrical networks.

ENEL is a leader in the production of electricity and gas distribution networks, operates in 30 countries and ranks first in the world in the production of renewable energy.

The Ambassador provided information about Uzbekistan’s achievements in the field of green energy, the construction of solar and wind power plants, as well as the tasks of modernizing the electricity distribution infrastructure.

The head of Gridspertise, a subsidiary of ENEL, Robert Denda, noted the importance of digitalization and related control technologies in energy projects.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to take measures for the active participation of Italian companies in electricity projects in Uzbekistan.
