Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko went skiing
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who is on an official visit to Uzbekistan, visited the Amirsoy ski resort in Tashkent region.
At yesterday’s negotiations in Tashkent, the heads of the two states agreed to continue active exchanges in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, including cooperation in the field of sports and tourism. Among the documents signed at the highest level were the Sports Cooperation Program and the Tourism Action Plan for 2024-2025.
In recent years, extensive projects have been successfully implemented in Uzbekistan to develop sports and tourism infrastructure. One of such projects is the all-season ski resort “Amirsoy” in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, which has attracted more than 4 million tourists over the past three years.
During their visit to the resort, the heads of states got acquainted with the conditions for athletes and visitors, and also discussed the expansion of tourist exchanges between the two countries. Their sincere communication continued on the ski slope, where the leaders skied together.
