Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10, January 2024, a meeting was held between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC and the administration of the Tajik railway State Unitary Enterprise Rohi Ohani Tokikiston.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The negotiations were held under the leadership of the first deputy chairman of the board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC Kh. Rakhmetov and the head of the State Unitary Enterprise Rohi Ohani Tokikiston K. Mirzoali.

Both sides expressed their readiness to cooperate and develop railway infrastructure in the region.

One of the main topics of negotiations was the tariff policy between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The parties noted their desire to develop a flexible tariff system that will promote the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The question of the need to increase trade turnover between the countries was also raised. The parties expressed their interest in strengthening railway connections and improving logistics infrastructure to ensure more efficient delivery of goods and the development of foreign trade relations.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further cooperation and joint projects in the field of railway transport. Both sides expressed hope for the successful development of the partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.
