Uzbekistan holds second round of parliamentary elections
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan is holding second round of parliamentary elections at 39 election districts on 10 December.
In line with the legislation, in the second round, two candidates that have received the largest number of votes during the main elections will participate in each district.
The candidate that receives the largest number of votes in the second round will be considered elected.
A total of 96 deputies of the parliament’s lower house were elected from 135 election districts after the parliamentary polls on 23 December 2009.
