Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 December, at Fergana International Airport, specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise Center “Uzaeronavigation” completed work on modernizing the ILS/DME landing system.

Upon completion of the work, a flight test was carried out by a laboratory aircraft, which determined the system’s compliance with the requirements of the aviation regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO.

The modern ILS/DME landing system at Fergana Airport will ensure the landing of aircraft in difficult meteorological conditions with a certain minimum of weather, will improve the safety of flights in the airfield area and improve the quality of service for passenger traffic.
