New ambassador of Uzbekistan arrived in Madrid
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Farrukh Tursunov arrived in the capital of Spain, Dunyo news agency reports.
He is 50 years old. He graduate of the Tashkent State Economic University, Higher School of Analysis and Forecasting. He worked in the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan.
He has been working in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1994. He held various positions in the central office - from attaché to department director. He headed the embassies of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan (2008-2012) and in Japan (2012-2017). Since 2018, he has headed the Main Directorate of Strategic Analysis and Forecasting, as well as the Consolidated Information and Analytical Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Farrukh Tursunov replaced Jakhongir Ganiev, who had headed the diplomatic mission in Madrid since 2017.
