Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Russian Kamaz plans to increase truck sales in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Trade Representation of Russia in Uzbekistan.

The management of UzAutoTrailer and the leasing company Truck Asia Leasing held negotiations at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan. UzAutoTrailer has been assembling Kamaz trucks in Uzbekistan since 2018.

The parties discussed plans aimed at expanding truck sales in the republic. The possibilities of actively using trucks in investment projects implemented by Russian companies and expanding support for foreign economic activity were also discussed.

Earlier, in April, Deputy General Director of Kamaz Janna Khaliullina announced discussions with the External Labor Migration Agency of Uzbekistan regarding the creation of joint training centers, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Uzbek market for the company.

Moreover, the Tatar company Kama, founded by the head of KamAZ Sergei Kogogin, plans to begin assembling its Atom electric car in Uzbekistan. Local companies are showing interest in launching large-scale assembly of Atom and then in completely localizing the production of electric cars in the republic.
