Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the heads of the Territorial Departments of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan as part of a business visit delegation. The meeting took place at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Your visit to Tatarstan is a wonderful opportunity to establish new contacts aimed at developing Tatarstan-Uzbekistan cooperation within the framework of the friendly relations between Russia and Uzbekistan,” welcomed the guests the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic reminded that recently, on 5 October, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Tatarstan for the first time.

“As part of this visit, a forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan took place. Overall, the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Russia was very successful. I am confident that it will contribute to our future joint projects,” added Rustam Minnikhanov.

During the meeting, prospective directions of cooperation in various sectors were discussed. Earlier, as part of the visit, the delegation visited the special economic zone Alabuga, TANEKO, and Khimgrad.
