Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resident of the capital set up an illegal mining farm in his home. This was reported by the press service of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan.

According to the department, a resident of Almazar district assembled a mining device consisting of 94 sets at his home. He also illegally connected to the power grid.

The department notes that he illegally used electricity worth 540 million soums.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
