Air Samarkand receives Airbus A330-300

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 11 November, Samarkand International Airport received a plane from Air Samarkand. It was the Airbus A321 airliner. The aircraft, according to tradition, was greeted with a water arch. The aircraft will expand the airline’s capabilities.

On 2 November, the first aircraft of Air Samarkand, an Airbus A330-300, arrived at Samarkand International Airport.

The carrier will be based at Samarkand International Airport. The company plans to fly to major hubs, allowing transit flights. In particular, it plans to establish flights on 14 regular routes: Istanbul, Antalya, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Delhi, Jeddah, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Samara, and Tel Aviv. Air ticket prices will be announced separately.

“Air Samarkand is not planned as a low-cost carrier. We will adhere to fair, reasonable and competitive pricing policies. This means affordable fares, especially for those traveling light. The fares will include in-flight meals and an on-board entertainment system,” noted Svetlana Isyanova, head of the flight service department.
