The procedure for issuing the “Green Energy” certificate has been established

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government Resolution approved the Regulation “On the procedure for issuing and putting into circulation “Green Energy” certificates.”

According to the Regulations, accounting, organization of sales and monitoring of certificates is carried out on behalf of the issuer by the project office “Center for Green Economy Projects”.

The “Green Energy” certificate is put up for exchange trading by the registrant on the basis of standard lots.

The lot of one “Green Energy” certificate, which is sold in the trading session, is set at 1000 kWh.

Certificates are issued only once for the corresponding amount of MWh of electricity produced from renewable energy sources and transmitted to the electrical grid during a certain period.

The validity period of the certificate is unlimited.

An agreement is concluded between the registrant and the issuer on standard conditions for issuing a certificate.

The registrant submits an application for registration on the platform to the head office of I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certification Organization) through the issuer with the following documents:

a copy of the agreement on standard conditions for issuing the Certificate;

balance sheet for the last 12 months and the conclusion of the external audit (during the audit);

completed and signed Application Form CSD01 (general information about the company, management and shareholders, as well as contact information).

For registration of a generation facility, the registrant is charged a one-time fee in national currency at the official exchange rate of the Central Bank on the date of payment in the following amounts:

for a generation facility with a capacity of up to 3 MW – in the amount of 500 euros;

for a generation facility with a capacity of more than 3 MW - in the amount of 1,000 euros.

The registrant’s application is reviewed by the issuer within 5 business days after the fee is collected, then it is registered, and then the generation object is entered into the platform.

The period of stay of a generation facility on the platform is 5 years; after this period, re-registration of the generation facility is required.
