2023 KOREA WEEK to be held in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 26 August to 6 October 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to strengthen the cultural and spiritual bridge connecting the peoples of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uzbekistan, is holding a number of events as part of the “2023 KOREA WEEK”.

As part of the “2023 KOREA WEEK”, events have been prepared in various fields, such as education, tourism, cuisine and cinema, so that the Uzbek people can learn more about Korea. We hope that thanks to the “2023 KOREA WEEK” events, the people of Uzbekistan will better understand the spirit of Korea, and friendly relations between our countries will reach a new level.

Previously, the following events were held: on 26 August “Festival for office employees” and “Summer evening with K-POP PARTY”, from 8 to 10 September “20th WT Taekwondo Championship for the Ambassador Cup”;

Exhibition “Education in Korea” 2023.

Time and place: on 14 to 16 September 2023, Education Center of the Republic of Korea;

- Opening ceremony on 14 September at 10:00, Education Center of the Republic of Korea;

Universities and organizations: a total of 63 universities (19 universities took part in an offline format);

- Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Inha University, Ajou University, Chung-Ang University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Gyeongsang National University, Kyungwoon University, Kongju National University, International Graduate School of English, Bucheon University, Sun Moon University, Semyung University, Sunchon National University, Korea Soongsil Cyber University, Andong National University, Cheju National University, Korea University of Media Arts, etc.;

Korean tourist photo exhibition of seascapes, Art exhibition of works by citizens of the Republic of Korea living in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Time and place: on 17 to 19 September 2023, Palace of Korean Culture and Arts;

Contents of the event: Exhibition of photographs of beautiful seascapes and artistic works of citizens of the Republic of Korea living in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Korean Cuisine Cooking Competition 2023.

Time and place: on 21 September 2023 from 16:00 to 18:20, in the courtyard of Sejong School No. 1 in Tashkent;

Event content:

- The competition is held among citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Bibimbap will also be prepared for 100 servings;

Korean Film Festival.

Time and place: Samarkand and Khiva;

- films: “Samjin Company English Class”;

- only 2 shows;

(Samarkand) on 29 September (Fri.) at 15:00 / Sharq Yulduz Cinema;

(Khiva) on 6 October (Fri.) at 17:00 / tourist complex Ichan-Kala.
