Lenovo announces the opening of a network of spare parts warehouses in the region

04/09/2023 16:50

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Lenovo announces the opening of spare parts warehouses in Central Asia. This will enable Lenovo to strengthen its market presence and improve the customer experience in the region.

“Opening our own spare parts warehouses will strengthen our position in the Central Asian market. In addition, this will enable us not only to improve the quality of service for our customers, but also to expand the portfolio of professional services available in the region and offer a service with a guaranteed recovery time of equipment. Our goal is to become the largest trusted provider of integrated ICT infrastructure solutions in the region and in the world,” commented Andrey Kutukov, CEO of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

At three warehouses - in Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Azerbaijan (Baku) and Kazakhstan (Almaty) - Lenovo plans to store spare parts to ensure contractual obligations for service and warranty maintenance of its customers from these countries, as well as components for repair and updates of the installation base, data center, data storage systems and workstations for current and future deliveries.

The presence of local warehouses will allow to ship the necessary goods to the client directly from the warehouse. Moreover, such an arrangement of warehouses will make it possible to provide even small settlements with the necessary spare parts and become distribution hubs for supplying other countries in the region.

“The opening of new parts warehouses in Central Asia is part of Lenovo’s strategy to strengthen the company’s position in the region. This will significantly speed up and simplify the process of delivering and providing customers with the necessary IT infrastructure nodes. We understand the importance of efficiency and reliability of the supply chain throughout the entire life cycle of equipment, which is why we are investing in the development of our own base of warehouses, service supply and warranty service,” said Denis Taranov, Senior Manager for Service Business Development.

Lenovo’s new warehouses in Tashkent and Almaty began operating on the basis of the international logistics company UPS (United Parcel Service), and DiVi became Lenovo’s logistics partner in Baku. This format of work is due to a long and positive experience of cooperation with these partners in terms of transportation and logistics of Lenovo high-tech products.

With a new 24/7 distributed warehouse network across the region, Lenovo will be able to offer its customers and customers parts delivery intervals based on product purchased and service level: next business day, within 4 hours of identifying the problem , or within 6-24 hours from the date of registration of the application.
