A new freight train with cars sent from southern China to Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August, a train loaded with 261 cars left for Tashkent from the Liuzhou Automobile Logistics Base (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China).

This marked the opening of a new route as part of China-Central Asia rail freight traffic, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to China’s leading newspaper People’s Daily, Liuzhou is China’s main auto parts production and export base for automobiles and components, and the national automobile industry demonstration base, with an annual production capacity of more than 2.5 million vehicles.

In recent years, the Chinese Railways Administration in Nanning opened a cross-border rail freight route Nanning-Tashkent. The successful launch of the Liuzhou-Tashkent train is the second route to the capital of Uzbekistan.
