UzRCE and Refinitiv discuss prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange (UzRCE) with a delegation of the Refinitiv, which is part of the London Stock Exchange group, headed by the Director of Client Relations for Turkey, Greece and the CIS countries Joy Alev Alp Esen.

During the meeting, the current state of cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between UzRCE and Refinitiv, further plans for the near and medium term, in particular, in the field of broadcasting UzRCE exchange data through the Refinitiv platform, exchange of experience on the implementation of projects in the field of sustainable development policy were considered.

The General Director of the UzRCE Rashid Usmanov briefed the guests on the activities of the UzRCE, new technological solutions being introduced on the exchange and long-term development plans.

He emphasized the importance of further improving the infrastructure and expanding exchange instruments to attract investment and create a favorable investment environment.

In turn, the parties agreed on plans for further stages of cooperation, emphasizing the need to establish closer communication channels based on regular bilateral practical discussions, preparing joint events for participants in the exchange markets, including on issues of risks, compliance and ESG.

Representatives of Refinitiv also informed about the new technological solutions being introduced at the London Stock Exchange, about the possibility of exchanging experience in the information and analytical activities of UzRCE.

Starting from August 2020, the UzRCE website in the Eikon information and analytical platform regularly posts automatically updated information about the markets and activities of the UzRCE.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to work together to improve the UzRCE page in the Refinitiv terminal, promote it among participants in the international financial market, expand volume of published data.
