Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 June this year, as part of the Italian-Uzbek business forum held in Rome, Italy, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Agency for Innovative Development and the Italian Polytechnic University of Turin on the development of technical and economic base of the pilot project "Hydrogen test site for the conversion of public transport to hydrogen fuel in the city of Karshi".
The main goal of the project is the use of hydrogen energy for the accelerated development of economic sectors and the creation of a material and technical base for testing ideas and projects in the field of hydrogen technologies.
The following activities are planned as part of the pilot project:
-Determining the power of a solar power plant on an area of 1.5 hectares
-Determination of the storage capacity and capacity of the hydrogen filling station
- Development of a scheme for the movement of public transport in the city.
- Determination of economic efficiency and cost of the project
-Assessment of the prospects for the production and export of hydrogen
As a result of the implementation of the project, it is planned to create a material and technical base for creating a full cycle of hydrogen technologies and testing the developments of scientists, as well as launching a platform for promoting "green" technologies.
