Three boxers from Uzbekistan become world champions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three boxers of the Uzbekistan national team became world champions, defeating their rivals in Tashkent.
Asadkhuja Muidinkhojaev was the first of our compatriots to fight for the championship. In the final, he defeated Dulat Bekbauov from Kazakhstan and became the world champion in the weight category up to 67 kg.
An experienced boxer, Rio 2016 Olympic champion Khasanboy Dusmatov also won the championship in the weight category up to 51 kg. In the first round of the final, he knocked out Frenchman Bilal Bennam.
Olympic champion Bakhodir Jalolov won the world championship for the second time in his career. In the final, our compatriot defeated Cuban Alexandro Arzola.
