Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Surkhon Arena stadium is undergoing a general reconstruction, upon completion of which it will meet the licensing standards of the AFC (Association of Football Clubs).

These changes will make a significant contribution to the development of football the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan, which is especially important for the younger generation of the region.

After the audit, a plan was drawn up to modernize the stadium, improve the spectator stands, the entire infrastructure, including the quality of the lawn and other items.

Special lighting of the stadium will be provided in accordance with the special regulations of FIFA.

The modernization process with a preliminary cost of US$1.5 million is provided by the ERIELL Group, whose chairman of the board Bakhtiyor Fazylov has headed the Surkhon Professional Football Club since 2023.

This year PFC "Surkhon" has good results in the matches of the Superleague of Uzbekistan and the Cup of Uzbekistan. At the moment the team is showing one of its best results in the history of the Club.

Particular importance is attached to the work at the Academy of the club, where children from the Surkhandarya region play football.
