A business mission was held to the Jizzakh technopark for entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-17 March 2023, a business mission was held to the Jizzakh technopark for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of the Russian Federation.

The event was attended by the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the business industry of the Russian Federation.

The purpose of the event is to tell Russian entrepreneurs about the investment potential of Jizzakh region, to familiarize them in detail with the ongoing work in the Jizzakh technopark and to report on the features and opportunities of this project.

On 16 March, 2023, the participants of the business mission attended the opening of the First Regional Intersectoral Fair in the city of Jizzakh. Galina Saidova, Deputy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Herman Lerner, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a solemn speech there.

The main place of the visit was the site of the Jizzakh technopark. During the visit, members of the delegation got acquainted with the plans for reconstruction and working conditions on the territory of the technopark.

Technopark "Jizzakh" is located on the territory of 13.56 hectares. The total area of the premises is 81,686 sq. m. meters, administrative premises - 9,377 sq. meters, industrial premises - 72,309 sq. meters. Now Jizzakh is a major transport hub on the highway between Tashkent and Samarkand, uniting the central and western regions with the eastern regions of Uzbekistan. With these two largest cities, Jizzakh is also connected by a high-speed railway line. The population of the city is about 180 thousand people.

The delegation members also visited the museums of Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya Khanum and Sharaf Rashidov, a branch of Kazan Federal University in Jizzakh, a car assembly plant of ADM Jizzakh LLC, a logistics center being built jointly with a Russian company and the production of plastic pipes and components.
