Uzbek MFA hosts a meeting with the representative of the UNHCR for Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 March 2023, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov met with the head of the Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia, Hans Schodder.

Issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNHCR in areas of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.

Mutual readiness was expressed to continue close cooperation in the field of providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, in particular, through the International Multifunctional Transport and Logistics Hub in Termez.

The UNHCR representative expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for the conditions created and the ongoing assistance provided in the delivery of humanitarian cargo not only to Afghanistan, but also to other countries of the world.
