Gas explosion occurred in a 4-storey building in Nukus

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 29 January, at 16:15, an outbreak of a gas-air mixture occurred in a 4-storey residential building located in the Temir Yul neighborhood in Nukus.

Rescuers of the Department of Emergency Situations and employees of organizations included in the state system of emergency situations are working at the scene.

As a result of the outbreak, 2 citizens were hospitalized in the city hospital with burns.

In connection with this incident, the Headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was formed and search and rescue operations are being carried out under its leadership, measures are being taken to ascertain the fact of being under the collapsed parts of the roof and ceilings of citizens.

The rest of the tenants living in this house were also evacuated and provided with temporary housing and three hot meals a day.
