High-speed train "Afrosiyob" in Navoi region knocked down several sheep on the railway tracks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A video has circulated on social media showing the Afrosiyob high-speed train hitting sheep crossing the railway.

On 24 January 2023, high-speed train No. 770 "Afrosiyob" following the route "Tashkent - Bukhara" on the stretch between the stations "Malikabod" and "Kiziltepa" (Navoi region) knocked down several heads of small cattle from a herd of approximately 1000 sheep crossing the railway, in the wrong place, destroying the protective fence. It should be noted that there was a specially designated area for grazing and driving livestock 300 meters from the scene.

In connection with the above, the management of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari decided to install an additional fence (double barrier) along this section. Already today, work is underway to restore the old fence and install additional fence gratings.

On this coming, an inspection was carried out and the relevant documents were drawn up. The owner of the sheep faces administrative punishment for violating the rules of grazing and causing damage to Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

It should be emphasized that in order to prevent such cases, in educational institutions, mahallas and other organizations located near the railway, explanatory, preventive measures are systematically carried out with the population according to the rule of finding and crossing railway tracks.
