Experts from Uzbekistan and France discussed plans for further expansion of cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 January, the Deputy Khokim of Tashkent Sharof Rakhmanov met with representatives of Groupe Casino (France) headed by Director for Cooperation with the Middle East and Central Asia Erwan Huard at the Tashkent Khokimiyat.

Sharof Rakhmanov greeted the guests and said that he was glad to see them in the khokimiyat of the capital. Speaking about the large retail chains operating in our country, he noted that Groupe Casino will be able to occupy a worthy niche in Uzbekistan, since the rapid development of the retail market in the country provides unique business opportunities.

Erwan Huard thanked for the warm welcome and spoke about Groupe Casino, one of the largest French retail chains, which owns a wide network of hyper-, super- and minimarkets. The guest expressed interest in opening a trading network in Tashkent and hope for the support of the khokimiyat of the capital.

At the end of the meeting, which was held in the spirit of a constructive friendly dialogue, representatives of the khokimiyat announced their readiness to support a foreign company, in particular, in organizing a meeting with potential local partners with the assistance of the regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
