Bukhara oil refinery registers a record figure in the history of the plant for the production of motor gasoline

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Bukhara oil refinery, which is part of the Uzbekneftegaz system, the results of the main areas of the enterprise’s activities, as well as the implementation of priority tasks for 2022, have been summed up.

The past year has become another stage of dynamic development for the Bukhara Oil Refinery. With the support of Uzbekneftegaz, the plant continues to move forward steadily, systematically implementing large-scale projects and consistently providing the country’s consumers with oil products.

In particular, in 2022, the Bukhara Oil Refinery successfully launched the “Installation for loading liquefied hydrocarbon gas (LHG) into tankers”. An oil loading rack (ONE) was put into operation, which will ensure the supply of petroleum products not only in the Bukhara region, but also for other regions of the country.

In addition, in 2022, for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, the production of environmentally friendly and high-quality diesel fuel of Euro-6 classes was launched. One of the successes was also the receipt by the plant of the platinum certificate of the international standard "ISO 45001: 2018".

As part of the localization and expansion of production at the Bukhara oil refinery, the first batch of synthetic GTL naphtha was accepted, from which the production of popular models of motor gasoline will be launched.

At the Bukhara Oil Refinery, a set of environmental measures is being implemented on an ongoing basis, including technological renewal, the introduction of innovative technologies, improvement and planting of greenery in settlements, and education. Purposeful work is being carried out to maintain a favorable environmental situation in the regions.

Concern for nature has always been and will remain one of the key components of the strategy of Uzbekneftegaz. Another important area of work of the Bukhara Oil Refinery is directly related to the environment - the production of semi-synthetic aviation fuel for gas turbine engines "JetA-1-SSF".

Large-scale work has begun at the Bukhara Oil Refinery to implement this project. The entire infrastructure of the enterprise was prepared to receive synthetic fuel, and a complete program was developed to bring it to the level of finished products for the production of aviation fuel of the Jet A-1 (SSF) brand.

Another success of the plant last year was that it became the owner of an international certificate with ANAB accreditation and a memorable "Quality Mark".

It should be noted that the Bukhara Oil Refinery is the only enterprise of the Republic of Uzbekistan that is included in the international OASIS database, and has become on an equal footing, on the same list with the world’s largest companies, manufacturers of products in the field of aviation such as Airbus, Honeywell, Lufthansa, etc. .

In turn, in 2022, the Bukhara Oil Refinery produced 317.4 thousand tons of ecological diesel fuel. Of these, 94.9 thousand tons of Euro-4, 53.9 thousand tons of Euro-5 and 3.4 thousand tons of Euro-6.

Also in 2021, 874.9 thousand tons of motor gasoline were produced, which was the highest figure in the 24-year history of the plant, by the end of 2022 this figure reached 993,400 tons, and gasoline production records are updated every year.

As part of the Uzbekneftegaz program of organizational and technical measures for the modernization and reconstruction, optimization of production, the introduction of energy-saving equipment and renewable energy sources, work was carried out at the Bukhara Oil Refinery, which made it possible to optimize the energy consumption of production processes.

As a result, the Bukhara Oil Refinery achieved electricity savings of 8.71 million kWh (+6.8%) and fuel gas of 1.1 million m3 (110.1%) in 2022. In turn, solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 255 kW and solar water heaters with a total volume of 12.2 thousand liters were put into operation at the plant.
