Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The government of Uzbekistan will save 2.8 trillion soums as a result of administrative reforms. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to implement the administrative reform of New Uzbekistan”.
In accordance with the decree, the number of executive bodies is reduced from 61 to 28. The number of ministries will be 21.
Odilbek Isakov noted that 2.4 trillion soums will be saved by reducing the staff of ministries and departments by 30%.
About 300 billion soums will be saved due to the sale of more than 300 buildings, which will be released as a result of the optimization of the government structure.
In connection with the reduction of leadership positions and the sale of 55 cars, the expenditures will be reduced by 16.5 billion soums.
The introduction of an online reception system for citizens will save money on business trips to the regions in the amount of 17 billion soums.
Another 22 billion soums will be saved by optimizing the costs associated with the maintenance of the state administration apparatus and 18 billion soums by optimizing costs by setting standards that include maximum prices for holding official events.
