Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 1 December 2022, First Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Sidikov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna.
The practical aspects of Uzbek-Italian cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the deepening of economic diplomacy between the two countries, using all its possible tools, were discussed.
The importance of bilateral efforts to find new ways and opportunities for developing trade, increasing exports and investment cooperation was noted. The Ambassador announced the growing interest of Italian business in establishing business ties with Uzbek partners.
The need to strengthen cooperation in order to increase the volume of exports of Uzbek products to Italy was emphasized, primarily within the framework of the EU GSP + preference system, certification and standardization of goods, attracting Italian experts to improve skills and exchange experience in the field of training for industries in Uzbekistan.
