A new urban area to be built according to the Korean type in Nurafshan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of a working visit to Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Korean-Uzbek Business Association (CUBA) Kim Chang Keon, CUBA member companies TDC Group (CEO Choi In Chan) and GS Energy (Vice President Lee Gong Guk) visited Tashkent region.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the khokim of the region Zoyir Mirzaev, at which the parties discussed the projects currently being actively implemented to create a new urban district of Nurafshan according to the South Korean type and build a fire safety training center.

At the talks, representatives of the TDC Group, which leads the project consortium and is working on the preparation of its master plan, presented the results already achieved and made specific proposals. These initiatives were discussed, including a further schedule for moving the project forward.

The creation of a new urban area in Nurafshan, the center of Tashkent region, is a large-scale city development idea that envisages the construction of South Korean-style apartment complexes, a business center, a hospital, a university, a fire safety training center and an international school around a large park in the center of a business site. area of 150 hectares.

For these purposes, a consortium of seven South Korean companies, including construction companies, has been formed, which are already ready to begin the active phase of the project. Its beginning was laid in 2021 as a result of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between representatives of CUBA and the khokimiyat of Tashkent region, and in September of this year, as part of the visit of the khokim of the Tashkent region to the Republic of Korea, a Business Agreement (MOA) was signed on the project, reports IA "Dunyo".

Currently, it is expected to obtain permits for the use of land and the provision of infrastructure from the government of Uzbekistan, after which, in the near future, it is planned to move to the active phase of the project.
