Uzbek Foreign Ministry hosts a meeting with the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group "Finland - Central Asia"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 November 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov held talks with Chairman of the Finland-Central Asia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Deputy of the Eduskunt (Parliament) of Finland Kimmo Kiljunen, who arrived in our country in head of the parliamentary delegation.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations and structures.

Particular attention was paid to the activation of political, inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the expansion of trade and economic ties.

Issues of deepening cooperation in the field of education were discussed, in particular, studying the Finnish experience in training, retraining teachers and improving their qualifications, introducing Finnish-style textbooks and teaching aids in secondary schools in Uzbekistan.

Other issues of mutual interest were also considered at the talks.
