Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November 2022, on the sidelines of the ninth Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations in Fes (Morocco), First Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Sidikov met with the High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations and Deputy Secretary-General Organizations Miguel Angel Moratinos.

M. Moratinos thanked the Uzbek side for participating in the Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations in the city of Fes.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and agreed to coordinate joint actions to implement the planned activities.

The head of the Alliance was also informed about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of developing tolerance and humanism, strengthening interethnic and interfaith understanding.

It was noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the activities of the Alliance of Civilizations, and cooperation with this organization, supporting its goals and objectives.
