Uzbekistan to set up 44 polling stations abroad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 October, the Uzbek Central Electoral Commission (CEC) held a session to make decisions to set up polling stations for the 27 December parliamentary election at Uzbek embassies abroad as well as to set up electoral districts in the country.
The CEC made the decision, based on a report by the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, to set up 44 polling stations at Uzbek embassies abroad. It also decided to register these polling stations under railway electoral district No 126.
In line with legislation, polling stations are set up for 20 voters at least and for 3,000 voters at most. A total number of polling stations in the country is more than 8,400.
As a rule, polling stations should be set up 60 days before the parliamentary elections.
