Uzbek President receive chief of Russian Railways
Oqsaroy presidential residence
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbek President Islam Karimov received chairman of the Council on Railway Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and President of Russian Railways OJSC Vladimir Yakunin at the Oqsaroy presidential residence on 27 October.
Uzbek leader underlined gradual development of cooperation of the CIS and Baltic railway companies and said the Tashkent summit of the CIS Railway Transport Council is prove for that.
CIS Railway Transport Council is discussing issues of further improvement of work on coordination activity of railway companies, integration with other railway transport systems, economic, financial, legal and organizational issues, UzA reported.
Vladimir Yakunin expressed his gratitude for warm reception and underlined high level of organization of Tashkent summit of the Council.
The sides considered issues of further developing of cooperation among railway companies of Uzbekistan and the CIS and Baltic states.
