Transactions on the purchase of government securities by a foreign investor were concluded at the primary auctions of the UzRCE for the first time

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 November 2022, at the auction of the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange (UzRCE), for the first time transactions were concluded for the purchase of government securities by a foreign investor represented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, whose dealer was Asaka Bank.

It should be noted that the UzRCE provides a full range of services in this market, including the organization of trading in the placement and circulation of securities, settlement and clearing and depositary services, and creates additional trading strategies for market participants in the form of REPO operations.

The total volume of trading in the government securities market at the end of 2021 amounted to 30.85 trillion soums and according to the results of 9 months of 2022 - 67.10 trillion soums.
