The Malaysian ambassador to Uzbekistan Abdul Aziz Harun said the one month programme starting 29 September aired news on education, trade, weather and facilities with focus on the tourism industry.

"We hope that the Uzbek language programme, which comes on air twice a week until 30 October will promote Malaysia widely to the people of Uzbekistan," he told Bernama.

Abdul Aziz was accompanying several foreign envoys based in Tashkent and their families who were on a visit to Malaysia starting 13 October. They had already visited Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Putrajaya.

The visit on the initiative of the Malaysian embassy in Uzbekistan was aimed at promoting tourism.
