Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, singer and composer Ravshan Namozov has died after a long illness. This was announced by the poet Bobur Bobomurod.

Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Ravshan Namozov was born on 10 July 1961 in Termez. He began his musical career with the band Qars, founded in 1989. Namozov is the owner of the Grand Prix of the Youth Festival, held in 1985 in Germany, and the Voice of Asia, held in 1989 in Almaty.

Ravshan Namozov began his solo career in 1991. His most famous compositions are "Chipradalli", "Kovushim", "Yor-yor yoron-ey", "Biyo-biyo", "Xayol".
