Baku hosts festival "Week of Uzbek Cuisine in Azerbaijan"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 10 September 2022, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the Public Association "In support of the development of tourism and national cuisine", is hosting the next 3rd festival "Week of Uzbek Cuisine in Azerbaijan".

The week of Uzbek cuisine in Azerbaijan is held annually in the form of a competition among professional and amateur culinary professionals, food bloggers, as well as members of the Azeri Home Chef group on the Facebook social network. According to the terms of the competition, at the first online stage, its participants need to cook Uzbek dishes, decorate them beautifully, film the process on a photo or video and publish it on their pages on the Facebook social network.

According to the results of the first stage of the competition, the jury consisting of diplomats of the Uzbek Embassy, Uzbek chefs working in restaurants in Baku and representatives of the Public Association "In support of the development of tourism and national cuisine" will select the best works, the authors of which will become finalists.

The final stage of the competition will be held on 22 September 2022 in the prestigious Baku shopping complex "Sharg Bazari" - a favorite place for visiting local citizens and foreign tourists. In the final, the contestants will present unusual Uzbek dishes, this stage will be accompanied by a concert program, quizzes and refreshments from the organizers of the event. All finalists are waiting for bright and unforgettable gifts from the sponsors of the competition, and the main prize will be a trip to Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that active participation in this competition is already observed, only in the first two days the participants prepared more than 200 Uzbek dishes. At the same time, the current season of the competition is distinguished by the brightness of photographs and videos and the most diverse and rare Uzbek dishes.
