Academic year in Uzbekistan starts on 5 September

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Academic year in Uzbekistan will begin on 5 September 2022, the press service of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.

According to the presidential decree, the days from 1 to 4 September are declared non-working in connection with the celebration of Independence Day.

- 1 September 2022 - Thursday (holiday non-working day);

- 2 September 2022 - Friday (an additional non-working day - regardless of the type of working week);

- 3 September 2022 - Saturday (additional non-working day - for employees with a six-day working week);

- 4 September 2022 - Sunday (day off according to the calendar).
