Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), held in the Belarusian city of Vitebsk, a draft order of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council "On the list of priority integration infrastructure projects in the field of transport of the EAEU member states" was approved, Dunyo news agency reported.
At the suggestion of the Kyrgyz side presiding over the EEC, 2 projects were included in the list: “Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway” and “Electrification of the Lugavaya-Balykchy railway section,” writes the Kyrgyz National News Agency “Kabar”.
Speaking on 27 May at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized: “In the near future we plan to begin the practical implementation of the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway construction project, which will create additional opportunities for entering the Asian markets. -Pacific region. This route will complement the existing railway lines in the East-West direction.
