Ziyorat Tourism Fair takes place in Qoqand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 July 2022, the Ziyorat Tourism Fair was organized in Qoqand. This event was held in order to ensure the implementation of relevant decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the development of domestic and pilgrimage tourism. 

The organizers of the fair were the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the region, the Khokimiyat of the city of Qoqand, the Association of Craftsmen, the Qoqand State Museum-Reserve. 

At the opening ceremony of the fair, the deputy khokim of Ferghana region Kh. Akhmedov, the khokim of the city of Qoqand M. Usmanov and others spoke with congratulations.

At the fair, folklore and ethnographic groups of the region performed, national songs were performed, tour operators from tFerghana, Andijan and Namangan regions engaged in activities in the field of pilgrimage tourism were involved, skilled artisans from the regions presented their national products and souvenirs, demonstrating the potential of the Ferghana region in the field of pilgrimage tourism.

As part of the event, reports were heard from employees of the regional office of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the regional Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Qoqand State Museum-Reserve.

In the conference hall of the Jome complex in the city of Qoqand, a presentation was held on the potential of domestic and pilgrimage tourism in Ferghana, Andijan and Namangan regions, and such tourist areas as Sadi Shamkhal and Khonobod of the Andijan region, entertainment facilities of the Namangan region were presented. Kasonsoy", "Chust", "Chodak".

During the fair, a diploma ceremony was held for 21 first graduates of the Margilan College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The main department of tourism and cultural heritage of the Ferghana region presented memorable gifts prepared for the guests.

In the afternoon, an info tour of the sights of Qoqand and Rishtan was organized for the participants of the fair.
