Measures to enhance investment and industrial activities in Samarkand region were considered

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov met with entrepreneurs and initiators of investment projects in the Samarkand region. 

On site, they studied the technological processes at enterprises, the prospects for expanding and modernizing existing production facilities in order to increase the output of mastered and establish the production of new types of products that are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

Also, systemic and private issues that entrepreneurs and investors face in practice were considered, and algorithms for their solution were developed directly on the ground.

The heads of responsible ministries and departments were given clear tasks to address the issues of local business representatives in order to develop measures to fully utilize the investment and industrial potential of the region.

It was noted that well-coordinated interaction in the “sectoral department – local authority – entrepreneur” linkage will allow solving a number of topical issues at the regional level: improving the investment environment, increasing industrial production, increasing export potential, creating jobs and other tasks.

As a result of the visit, responsible managers received additional instructions to enhance practical support for local producers and initiators of investment projects.
