Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police General of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, at a meeting of the State Anti-Drug Committee, announced the results of an international operation to block the channel for the sale of drugs on an especially large scale.

“Recently, a joint operation was carried out by law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with the Security Department of the Russian Post. As a result, the activities of a transnational criminal group that organized the production and distribution of synthetic drugs on an especially large scale in Russia, as well as in the countries of Central Asia, were stopped. Eight underground drug laboratories have been liquidated. 600 liters of precursors and about 30 kilograms of narcotic drugs were confiscated, which is approximately 150,000 single doses. The cost of the drug at black market prices exceeds 280 million rubles. The organizer and members of the drug group have been detained, an investigation is underway,” the head of the department said.

According to preliminary data, a resident of Omsk region has equipped a laboratory for the production of prohibited substances in his private house. He was preparing a solution containing synthetic drugs "Alpha-PVP". Then, by postal parcels, he sent it abroad and to various regions of Russia, disguising it as household chemicals, machine oil and other goods. In this case, the man used fake documents.

Recipients of parcels in makeshift laboratories produced narcotic substances for the purpose of further sale through caches-bookmarks.

For the operational development of drug dealers, a special group was created from among the most experienced employees of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, specialized regional departments of internal affairs bodies and foreign anti-drug structures. Force support was provided by employees of the special forces "Grom".

The joint special operation to stop drug trafficking continued for six months. As a result of coordinated actions, clandestine laboratories were liquidated on the territory of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Their productivity was up to 200 kg of drugs per month.

In the course of operational-search activities in Russia and on the territory of foreign states, more than 20 participants in the drug business were detained.

Criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Further activities are underway to identify other possible members of the group.
