Agrarians of Uzbekistan and Germany discuss the topic of growing fodder crops
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 June 2022, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan between specialists from the German company GFA Consulting Group GmbH and a group of experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was held as part of the development of a bilateral cooperation program (BCP), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
During the meeting, local specialists are trained in advanced German practices in the field of sustainable crop production, animal husbandry, taking into account modern technologies, as well as farm management skills.
“A number of important issues for the agrarian complex were discussed at the meeting. The topic of support for organic agriculture, which is directly related to food safety, was touched upon. In addition, they paid attention to the issues of trade in agricultural products and financial support. We touched upon the topics of land law, seed production, - said the head of the department for coordinating grants and projects of international financial institutions Ramin Hasanov, - At the meeting, we discussed the details of the future first project to promote environmentally sustainable and climate-adapted cultivation of fodder crops in Uzbekistan,” he added.
